Can we self-host or deploy in our own VPC?
Yes. AskOpenly supports on-prem, private cloud (VPC), and fully self-hosted deployments running on open models you control — your documents and prompts never leave your environment.
Which AI models does AskOpenly use?
Open models you control — Qwen, Llama, and other open-weight models served via Ollama or vLLM — or your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Per-role model routing lets you match the right model to each task. There's no per-seat model lock-in, and your data never trains a third party's model.
What can it ingest, and how do connectors handle permissions?
One pipeline ingests PDFs, Office docs, spreadsheets, images, audio, video, web pages, and code repositories. Source permissions are mirrored into retrieval through document-level ACLs, so answers always respect who is allowed to see what — with managed connectors for Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Notion, Slack and Jira rolling out.
Can our team use it from Slack or Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Ask a question in Slack or Teams and get a grounded, cited answer in the channel. You can also build agentic automations — scheduled digests, notifications, and multi-step workflows triggered when new documents arrive.
How is AskOpenly priced?
AskOpenly is sold as a private, single-customer deployment on an annual enterprise agreement — never a shared multi-tenant SaaS you rent seats on. Pricing is scoped to your deployment model (dedicated Private Cloud, in your VPC, or fully self-hosted), scale, and support level. Access is by invitation — tell us about your environment and we'll scope it.
What counts as a query?
A query is a single question answered by the multi-agent pipeline — retrieval, reasoning, verification, and a cited answer. Enterprise agreements are scoped to your expected usage and scale, not metered per seat, so there are no surprise per-query overage fees.
Do you offer a free trial?
Access is by invitation. Request a demo and, for qualified teams, we provision a guided environment with sample data so you can evaluate on a real workflow.
How do you handle security and compliance?
Multi-tenant isolation with database row-level security, RBAC, document-level ACLs, in-stream PII redaction, and full audit logging are built in. Enterprise adds SSO/SCIM, custom retention, a DPA, and SOC 2 support.
